I really can’t speak enough on the sound quality, this was the main draw for me, it just really had a nice sound to it that though I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what it is, I can tell you it definitely separates Twin2 from many other synthesizers that begin to sound the same. I liked the hard leads and heavy bass just as much as I loved the smooth ambient pads and fx. The multiple filter types really let you change and alter your sounds and you can go from raw to smooth very quickly. I would say it’s almost like it has a “liquid” quality to it. Sure it sounds digital, but not in a boring way, this synth really has some nice character, not the harsher digital sound that can be found in various software synthesizers. If I had to describe it, I would say it was a “full hi-fi” sound. I had always heard great things about Twin so I finally needed to check it out for myself, and I must say, I am impressed.įirst off, it’s not a software trying to recreate a specific analog or va synthesizer, it’s just a great sounding instrument in it’s own right. It’s a 3 oscillator synth plugins from Fabfilter, creators of many other great plugins like their Pro-Q equalizer, Pro-L limiter, or their Volcano filter plugin. No it’s not a brand new synth but it’s new to me so I want to share my opinion on it! Today I’m checking out Twin2 from Fabfilter. Hey what’s good fam, back with another review for ya!
